Bahahaha, have a cup of tea and write a blog post instead of snacking in the evenings…. What was I thinking! Like I have time for that. I
did not reach my goal of losing 4 pounds this month. However, I did lose 3
pounds and I’m pretty sure I gained some muscle as well as some handy dandy
tools. After a week and a half of calorie counting and eating in angelic
moderation, I crashed and burned for about a week. I was tired of calorie
counting and tired of eating like a saint. I dropped both strategies before you
could say, “Want a cupcake?” So, after gaining back the fabulous initial weight
loss, I realized that calorie counting is worth the investment in time. Even if
I go over my goal, it makes me more conscious of where my eating is going wrong
and a multitude of small things that I can do to lessen my calorie intake on a
regular basis.
By going back to the calorie counting, I got back on the
wagon but without my halo this time. I also signed up for a program at my gym
that started with a body analysis, then a workout plan, and another body
analysis in a month. I figured this could add some accountability. Plus, do I
really want that second body analysis to come out the same?! I’ve also been
using a Couch to 5K app on the treadmill. Now, I’m only getting in 2 days a
week (rather than 3) as I’m alternating with other workouts, but I notice I am
feeling stronger and that is motivating.
